Playback & sync

Subtext stays in step with Premiere’s playhead so you can check timing without leaving the panel.

Playback

Section titled “Playback”
  • The Play / Stop button, or the Spacebar, toggles timeline playback.
  • Single-click any caption to jump Premiere’s playhead to that caption.

Sync mode

Section titled “Sync mode”

Turn on Sync to highlight the caption under the playhead as the sequence plays. As Premiere plays through your timeline, Subtext follows along and keeps the current caption highlighted — so you can watch and read at the same time and catch timing problems in real time.
