Review & search
Subtext has tools for reviewing a pass and making bulk text changes — without any of it leaking into your exported captions.
Flag for review
Section titled “Flag for review”- Click the flag icon on a caption to mark it. A note field appears where you can jot down why.
- Use the flag button in the toolbar to jump between flagged captions.
- Press F to flag the currently selected line.
Flags and notes are Subtext-only — they’re for your review pass and never touch the exported SRT.
Find & Replace
Section titled “Find & Replace”Open Find & Replace with the magnifier button or Ctrl+F.
- Matches are highlighted as you type.
- Enter / Shift+Enter step through matches.
- Replace all changes every match at once.
- Toggle Aa for case-sensitive matching.
- Toggle W for whole-word matching — so “at” won’t match inside “procrastinating”.
